Rabbi Lisa S. Greene has served North Shore Congregation Israel since 1999. Previously, she served Temple Jeremiah in Northfield. Rabbi Greene was ordained by the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion in New York in 1995. During rabbinical school she served congregations in Manhattan; Anchorage, Alaska; and Ft. Smith, Arkansas. A graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, she worked as a buy-side research analyst at Lazard Freres before entering the rabbinate. Rabbi Greene has served on the board of the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs (JCUA), as the Rabbinic Advisor for NFTY-CAR and on various committees of the Central Conference of American Rabbis.

Rabbi Greene is honored to be a second-generation rabbi - and the second Rabbi Greene at that. She finds innumerable joys in the rabbinate, among them, teaching, stories, family education, creating ritual, and marking sacred moments. She is married to Jonathan Polish and is the mother of two daughters and a son: Noa, Talia and David.
