JEN: Jewish Employment Network
JEN offers a wide array of services, enabling clients to wage a successful job campaign in today's rapidly changing marketplace. Services include: networking events; listing in the Candidate Profiles publication; support and strategy groups; videotaped mock interviews; job listings; and computer/Internet services. Unemployed senior executives meet weekly and are linked with their peers and mentors in the Jewish community and recruiters. Those seeking mid-level positions meet bi-weekly to strategize, support and share information and contacts. JEN meets at NSCI on Thursdays, from 9:00am-12:00pm

JUF/J-HELP
J-Help was established in 2008 to assist those in the community who have been most severely impacted by providing financial help for emergency food, utilities, rent, medicine and scholarships for participating in Jewish life.

We provide services to individuals who face housing discrimination, foreclosure, and conflict with their landlord or management company. We also provide a Homesharing Program matching people with an extra room with people seeking affordable housing in the northern suburbs.

Shalva provides a 24- hour crisis line, individual and group counseling, legal information and court support, community advocacy, interest free loans, and appropriate information and referral services to families struggling with domestic abuse.
