Matisyahu in Concert
4:30–6:15 pm (doors open at 3:45 pm)
Ticket purchase required: $72 for adults, $36 for 18 and under
For nearly two decades, Matisyahu has kept his creative spirit aflame by evolving his sound, melding genres, and testing the limits of the musical traditions that have inspired him. His music is a shapeshifting collision of reggae, hip-hop, alt rock, and boldly inventive pop. Matisyahu's spirituality has evolved in parallel with his music, and his Jewish heritage remains a central theme throughout his life and music. For Matisyahu, “the unbelievable and miraculous feeling of being connected to our people” is what keeps the creative fire alight. The concert will begin with a brief conversation between Cantor Goldstein and Matisyahu on his journey as a Jewish musician spreading a message of love, unity, and resilience.
“NSCI is a remarkable congregation. What a privilege to celebrate our synagogue together along with recording artist Matisyahu! This event is another extraordinary opportunity to unify and to support our spiritual home. We hope to see everyone at this special afternoon highlighting commUNITY.”
—Amanda Weil, Spring Event co-chair
“This has been a year of immense challenges and divisiveness in our world. Coming together as ‘One People, Many Voices’ is a way for our NSCI commUNITY to celebrate each other and the many voices we amplify into the world. Please join us for a day filled with inspiration, engagement, music, and meaning!”
